studio progress...

Well just a little as we have been getting a lot of rain.
The windows above
I purchased last week for the studio. They came out of an old Church here in Florida.. I was so excited as I wanted to put them somehow high up atop . but so far does not look like they will work. Maybe I can hang them?
rainy Friday..all day..
But this afternoon the sun came out & we were able to get part of the roof up! There will be a tin roof. The floor will be concrete  I am looking into how to stain or do something to the floor. Everything will be painted white I think. I am open for suggestions always. Keep in mind working with material avail. here on the farm.. some leftovers are just fine with me. I love leftovers. keep you posted as we progress.
I think I will give her a name.. any thoughts?

Ooooh, how exciting! I love illiteration so what immediately comes to mind is to name her something like Violet Verbena, or Viola, Victoria, etc. No matter what you name her, no doubt she'll be a real beauty! Looking forward to seeing more progress pictures:)

A little bad weather won't hurt, it is all going to fall into place perfectly;) Laura you are so use to things not always going as planned, but this studio is going to make up for everything!

Hey my Sweet... great progress! I can't wait to see more, I think you need to see the space more before a name comes to you. She needs to show some personality first.
Blessings today

Looks like you are progressing. I do love those wonderful arched windows. I would have loved to put something like that into my studio but hubby said it was a pain to put in arched windows, so mine is square. We finally got our roof finished, and we are about to put in the door and window hopefully tomorrow. I have plywood floors made of recycled signs so I'm painting my floors with Behr Porch and Patio paint. It's tintable to any color they have. A gallon was $25 at Home Depot and it's going to be enough to do my 12x12 floor with a little left over. It's water clean up and it dries pretty quick too. You might try painting your concrete? It's a cheap and easy option. There is a lot of info on doing it all over the web and it's easily customizable. Anyway. Just a suggestion. Can't wait to see BOTH our studio's done. :)
