I just had to post this & share this incredibly colorful & beautiful lady & her home...after working the show In The Bay area and meeting some of the nicest people, delivering items purchased to their homes is the best part.... delivering rusty peacock chairs & that ever so popular MAGENTA metal glider certainly found the perfect home!!!!... this home has been featured in Victoria magazine & several magazines...soooo inspiring... have a great weekend.. xoxo laura

A living Doll...

Once upon a time there was a little girl who was given two specials gifts… the first gift came from up above….the best kind of gift…. and the second was a toy sewing machine. I am writing this is post to share what this little girl ( who is now a big girl) did with her gifts.. describing her work is like opening up a Grimm’s fairy tale book to me… magical… dreamy, original, sweet, sparkly, enchanted ,just pure loveliness.. Whimsy creations you see in your dreams….living in a world of too much hardship and over saturation of everything , it feels good to escape to the fantasy that’s brings us back to our childhood dreams and enthusiasm……. I hope to make your heart Smile as Jen has made mine…Jen is a living doll a true living doll of a person. I am in love with her fantasy inspired & whimsy creations & would like to share some of them with you. Her mermaids are my favorite ( originally created as a gift for her beautiful friend Joy at the Vintage Rabitt) nothing like them, her Marie doll is beautiful and many more designs not listed.. currently she just has two dolls listed on her new etsy site as all this is new online stuff is new to her.. her creations are endless.. Sorry I deleted all the sweet comments and a few not so sweet .... so I will re post this again and mention as I am thrilled to have created this bag with some of my favorite things...organic recycled old linen, ( a vintage shower curtain I had) lots of vintage mother of pearl buttons, a hankie from my grandmothers stash, lace doilies I collect, crochet beads & charms from my charm collection & beautiful french roses... some I make myself & some are made by some of various vendors I carry in my store. many years ago I used to sit on this hill surrounded by wild flowers.. looking out onto the powerful Atlantic and just dream.... magical times....back then...mmmm.who knows what lies ahead....

San Francisco...my heart is still there..

Back home here in Ocala.. oh my visit was too quick but I had a great time... Saturday evening I attended my fathers ( Robert Venosa) art exhibit at The Push Gallery in San Francisco. I will post pictures tomorrow of my trip when I settle in & have more time...xoxoxo laura
